My Story

A heart that searched for peace.

I had always thought that the Amish religion was the only way for me to get to heaven. After a rebellious youth, I submitted to the Amish way by becoming a baptized member and following the Amish rules and traditions. But I wondered why I didn't have peace in my heart.

For six long months I cried out to God for answers. Were my sins forgiven? What was missing in my life? Was I not following the Amish rules well enough? Was God still angry with me because of my sinful teenage years?

God answered me in a powerfully clear way — transforming my life and sustaining me with the peace I was searching for. What He's done for me is the first in a series of testimonies titled, God's Touch Among the Amish. They represent personal journeys through tears and pain, stories from sincere hearts that searched earnestly for answers.

Why I share

Each of these journeys speaks of the faithfulness of God and His love toward those who search for truth and yield their lives fully into His hands. If my story helps even one person find that same peace, every page will have been worth it.

WHO I AM

What moved me to preach.

I never set out to stand in front of anyone. I only wanted peace. When God answered those six months of crying out, the answer wouldn't stay quiet in me — it asked to be spoken. Preaching, for me, began as gratitude before it was ever a calling.
What I carry to a pulpit is the same thing | carried into the barn at night: a plain certainty
that God meets a searching heart. That is the whole of my message, and it is why I keep writing it down.
